We stay here when we are going to BC Motorhomes, got to it today to find a height barrier has been installed. Previously it was an open area but then large concrete blocks were used to restrict access, it’s the car park for Loudoun Hill. It is an important location in Scottish history as two battles were fought here during the wars of Independence, it also features the Spirit of Scotland sculpture. We have previously met foreign tourists who had come to see it in their campers, I will be contacting East Ayrshire council to ask why the car park has been closed to everything but cars.
