Okay I’m late in starting this as we left on Saturday morning, we drove down through some horrible weather to a pub stop near Rugby and had a couple of sherbets before returning to the van for our dinner as they don’t do food. The next day we were up early to do the M1 to the Dartford crossing but fortunately I checked the road conditions to find that it was shut from J29, did the anti clockwise route only to be scunnered again with a crash on the A28. Got routed up the B2068 Roman road to Canterbury park and ride, had a Funster mini meet with Vansflyer before an early night. We moved to the main car park after the torrential rain flooded the Aire section. Down to Dover on Monday morning for the 9.30 ferry and over to Calais (didn’t spot any illegals as it was a bit too rough for them) where we zipped down to the dirty camper Aire at Saint- Imoges, this morning saw us up and away towards Mâcon area and are now on a lovely quiet Aire up in the hills.
