Since my Michelin agilis cp are coming to the end of their life this year 225/75/r16/cp116agilis I have seen Hankook tyres mentioned before on forum and would like to know what members think of them. Price wise they must be cheaper than Michelin or does anyone have an alternative make trhey have used, 4.5 ton Auttotrail on Fiat Maxi chassis.

If you search through my previous posts you will find what I fitted in place of Michelin campers.

I have fitted Hankook tyres to my Carthago to replace 4 cracked Michellin tyres that were four years old.
Very happy with them so far, good ride comfort.
Mercedes Benz fit them as standard on new cars.

The 19th of June. Sorry but I don't know how to post a link to my thread.

I must confess to being a little bemused by the claims of "massive improvement in grip" on various brands of tyres. Are owners driving their motorhomes at the limit of tyre adhesion on a regular basis otherwise how can you tell?

For me the improved in grip I found is not really quantifiable other than to say that something within my psyche makes me have more confidence when I changed to the Hankook tyres, plus they are way better at stopping in the wet compared to the Continental's, and that was a massive improvement. I changed from the horrible Continental Vanco Camper's to Hankook RA18 Vantra's a little over four years ago, and the difference was massive in grip, road noise and ride comfort. The Hankook's are still my summer tyres.
Did exactly the same 2 years ago, happy so far.

You notice it in the wet and on gravel.
Accelerate up a steep hill in the wet with Michelin camper tyres the front wheels spin struggling for grip. With the Toyo's I fitted the van will just drive up the hill like the road was dry.
