Just an update. Local news has just announced that Brock will be coming back for Christmas. No dates given yet but I think this news should be national since it affects the whole country. So be aware if travelling south for the channel crossings.

They love to dig it out every time we go away. Nice to see they have loads of money to waste on this sort of thing.

Don't think it will affect me in Cardiff, will it?

Went along the m20 again yesterday to the tunnel, about 10 miles + of lane closures and cones out and not a single person working same when we came back in September during the day!!!

yes but what cross channel traffic problems do they currently have that cannot be addressed by doing the job properly? Ferries are running under capacity, euro tunnel is barely at 35% train capacity .Any 'probnlems' are of there own making & should be rectified at gov.uk/border control/customs expense.

Hopefully we won't be affected, we're doing what we did last time, namely going down the day before to Folkstone, collecting the AHC for Bella the following morning, then crossing before just tea-time. In previous years when using the tunnel and not needing AHCs we've always gone down and crossed on the same day but we found it was much less stressful going the day before so even if we didn't need an AHC we'd probably still do it.

We've checked with ET this morning to see if they are likely to be affected by the UK strikes and so far they're not aware of anything but said they will let travellers know if there's any change.

Who is or what is Brock?
Colyboy
Remember when as a kid you used to line up all your toy cars, trucks etc on a pretend roadway and move them along usually going 'bruuuuummmmm' at the same time ... it's the same except they don't tend to move much!
