We have a morco gas water that has been recalled with no suggested replacement. I thought I was alright with Innovita Primo 6, but apparently its 37 mbar not the 30 that the regulator is. Any suggestions? Ta.

Basildog might be able to offer a solution or advice re the regulator ?

Shouldn't be difficult to change the regulator over to a 37Mbar one.

It's a job I would be comfortable doing myself but I would definitely test the new regulator fitment with proper gas leak detection spray and not soapy water.

Of course that's dependent on any other gas devices you have being able to operate with 37Mbar.

The other consideration is whether the Primo 6 needs 37Mbar or whether that's the max rating.

A quick read of the manual reveals that "check that the gas supply pressure does not go beyond the maximum pressure values displayed on the information plate; " and that there is also the ability to adjust the gas.

"IV – ENABLING THE GAS ADJUSTER
  • Remove the protective cap (fig. 17 - part. A)
  • Regulate the pressure screws so that the burner reaches the pressure indicated on the technical data.
Note: ensure that the gas pressure is at 20 mbar."

That suggests to me (and I'm not a qualified gas engineer or offering this as advice) that the unit may only require 20Mbar in order to operate correctly.

It's certainly a question I would be asking them.

From what I've been able to find online, it looks like Innovita has taken over Morco and that the Primo 6 used to be sold under the Morco model number MP6 but is otherwise pretty much identical in its components.

My suspicion is that you should be able to drop it in as a straight swap without issue - but this is gas so please do research it properly and get this in writing from Innovita rather than trusting some halfwit on the internet (me!). (y)

It depends on where the appliance is going to be used ?
There isn’t any instantaneous water heaters that are suitable for use in caravans of motorhones of this type .
The Morco was ok in a static caravan installation.
It was only suitable for 30 mbar on Butane.
3rd Family gases addressed are G30 (Butane) and G31 (Propane).
28-30 Butane 37 Propane .
There are currently NO 37 mbar regulators available for use in a modern Leisure vehicle.

The Morco should only have been @ 30mbar using G30 Butane
It’s NOT suitable for installation in a leisure vehicle if that’s where it was ⚠️
