Help. ! Can anyone point me in the right Direction Please 🙏 I’m trying to fix this but to no avail, Iv tried the Fuses they are ok but struggling to find the relays on this model
Bessacarr E435 2010.. Iv had everything out, looked every where on the van Stumped !!
The step came out but will not go back in either by the engine running or the switch at the back,,. Fingers crossed someone can help. Thank you

It is possible that the step operation is controlled through your PSU/fuse unit and it could be worth checking the connections there.
If you have a Sargent EC460 PSU check the P5 plug connection on the rear or if it is a Nordelectronica NE184 unit check the JP8 plug.

Don't know if it helps, but I had same problem on one of our vans. Take the cover off the electrics next to the step, underneath, water and muck from road got into mine. I cleaned and dried it out and made sure the cover was properly sealed. Worked fine for ever after. No promises but worth a try.

If you remove the switch cover where you push to button put the step in or out . The relay should be behind there .

Thank you he’s been using that,he is sure it’s relay for the step but he just can’t find it ?
I will double check but it was definitely behind the control switch on my 2006 Swift . It was pushed down inside the cabinet and I had pull the wiring out to access it . I will double check later tonight .

Some later Swift built vans used the PSU for step operation, if your PSU is a Sargent Electrical item (some are Nordelectronica around your year) they would be able to confirm if yours is this type and what may be wrong . The Sargent PSU wiring diagram shows a limit switch along with the motor at the step , have you checked that this is ok ?
