So sorry hope you both make a good recovery.

Best wishes for a quick recovery.
I don’t blame your wife for not wanting to get on one again, but sorry that you are having to give up part of your lifestyle.

Get well soon! Give it time before you decide to get rid of bike......

Heal fast both of you, Don't make a snap decision yet though (y)

Get well soon, what bike you getting next..?

Yes have to sell to keep wife happy but have told her may get another next year

I read that as "sell the wife, keep the bike" and thought "there's a sensible man" until I re-read it!
Get well soon, so easily done; nasty stuff gravel as I know from painful two wheel experience!

Get well soon. Your experience perfectly illustrates why I gave up two wheels, I kept falling off! Never at more than 25 mph either.

Get well soon both of you. I would highly recommend that you take some time before you make a decision on whether or not to give up biking. Give yourselves time to heal then make a decision.

We all fall off on gravel  fell of my ZXR400 twenty years ago at a junction. Felt a right tit :ROFLMAO:

Hey! get a sidecar,they don’t fall over!

Did suggest but wife not intrested but may still keep a bike for odd trips so may consider a part ex tbd

Thanks for all comments now 5 weeks after crash and getting better be glad to get back to doing things at home as the hardest thing was having workmen putting patio down and not being able to help as I was going to do.

Gravel, the bikers worst enemy. If I showed my missus this post she would never get on our bike again.
Last year I went for a leisurely Sunday bike ride just after the council re surfaced all the local country roads. It was scary to say the least.
We have just bought a toad as my wife is not happy about the bike thing anymore.
Get well soon.
Phil

Yes I feel bad to have to give up but needs must ,may know look for a classic mini for a bit of fun but need to sell the bike or try to trade see how it goes
