Hi all, has anyone experienced this particular fault code on a 2012 2.3 ducato?
My MH has been in the garage and they found the o2 sensor cable had rubbed through because it had not been securely secured as a bracket had broken, a new o2 sensor has been fitted but where before the error code would not reset at all it now resets for a few minutes and then throws up the same error code.
The garage I'm using says it must be another wiring issue within the loom but I'm not convinced from what info I can find on the tinternet so thought I would ask if anyone has had this exact issue and what the cure was.
TIA
Chippie

Not had this issue but without contra information i would agree with the garage. The ducato is "famous" for wiring issues and chaffing. What are the thoughts against it being wiring or connector issues.

Coincidence is one reaon for my thought,s, a 7 5A fuse had also blown who's description is "engine control" without this been replaced the code would not reset at all, with new fuse it resets for a couple of minutes, what are the chances of a cable rubbing/chaffing through in 2 places at the same time plus from what info I can gather ideally need multiscan to read live data which the garage does not have as some forums say another issue else where can give false codes.

Where did they get the o2 sensor?

I replaced mine with a cheap one from euro car parts and it was wired wrong and threw that fault up.

Used a genuine Fiat part and all was well since.

Thanks googlebot, you could be correct about o2 sensor, taken it today to an auto electricians and he's found the new sensor was nothing like the original which he was not happy about so repaired the wiring on my old sensor and refitted and found corrosion on a plug under the engine bay fuseboard which he's cleaned, so far so good, done 10miles and no alarm 👍
