NYE Fireworks

Does anyone know of a nice place to go in SE England for NYE fireworks visible from close to van?

Anywhere along the coast.

Surprisingly few.

None at Margate, Broadstairs or Ramsgate this year.
(All of which had had displays in the past)

Deal usually has a brilliant fireworks display on the beach opposite the Kings Head. The Ball on the Timeball Tower drops at midnight and the fireworks follow shortly.

The Deal midnight timeball drop is floodlit, and there 'maybe' fireworks on the pier.

I think part of the problem is NYE 2023 had force 10 gales, so all the fireworks on the Kent coast were cancelled,
and due to the weather the pubs were not that busy with loads of cancellations.

So given that the hostelries, who traditionally stump up some of the cost, may not have broken even last NYE, it appears they are not sponsoring this years fireworks.

Thanks everyone. Cutting back on such joyful events seems to be a current British disease. The city of London lord mayor always did a brilliant guy fawkes display from a barge on the Thames until he took COVID as an excuse to stop.

I think you will find the fireworks are ALWAYS on the BEACH. Last year was great and more people than ever.

There used to be a BIG bonfire etc at Lewes but that might just be for Bonfire night?

Everyone is cutting back.

Watching money go up in smoke doesn't have the attraction it once did. Times are hard, friends are few

Some.are also changing over to "drone light shows" too.
