Number plate lights Ducato

Hi all
MOT last week, tester came out and said it's failed on the number plate lights, they are a testing station only .
Ok says I new bulbs went to get some flcked out the lenses (easy bit) just managed to get the bulbs out nearly impossible to put back in but Naomi's little fingers just did it.
Turned lights on dead as a dodo.
Took the door card off to look at the wires couldn't see anything amiss.
Finally relented went to my trusted garage , l hour layer broken wire found and repaired .
Test passed .
As an aside I have never had the door cards off and the insulation in ther was abysmal, what's the best product to use to upgrade it.

What's this on?
I assume it's a PVC.

Dodo soundproofing- available on ebay in various sizes and thicknesses. Quite heavy though, be careful with payload.

ps it is for sound deadening, not insulation

Hi both yes it is a PVC a 16 year old hymer car we have had it 6 years.
Really disappointed about the level of insulation on what is supposed to be a premium brand.
I would want to increase both the heat insulation and sound all the lower door cards remove easily .
