Numax 12V 10A Leisure Battery Charger Caravan Motorhome

Hi guys, My leisure battery was not being charged when on EHU, when I checked, no battery charger fitted in the motorhome.
I have bought a Numax 12v 10a leisure battery charger, £71.99, which states connect and forget.
Have any of you people had experience of this charger. I intended hard wiring it to the 240 circuit, so as soon as I hookup, it would charge if needed, and also allow me to use the 12 volt items, when the charger is permanently connected, and running. My battery is a 120 amp Superbatt.

It looks like a good battery charger. Shouldn't have any problems with it. Strange how you didn't have one built into the motorhome though.

This motorhome has been a nightmare. I had a AA man check the leisure battery for me, NO charger fitted, NOT being charged when engine running, could not find any relays anywhere, also the fridge does not work on 12 volt or EHU. I will have to pull it out to see what is happening. I do realise this MH is 27 years old, but it should have these items fitted.

The fridge will only work on 12v when the engine is running as it take power from the alternator. The 230v should work if the switch is on though.
Maybe the last owner had a problem and removed the charger. What van is it?

There is usually a 12v fuse in the engine bay for the fridge and another on the fuse board inside. Also a relay behind the fridge.
You could try those. See how you get on.

The fridge and split charge relays (if fitted )with their fuses could be under a cover near the starter battery.
