Nuevo battery charging

Hi, just bought a 2007 Autosleeper Nuevo. Can I charge batterys from under the bonnet using the positive connector point and the earthing point. I have a Noco Genius charger 5.

Should be okay but some advise to disconnect battery before charging.
Although this argument seems to be more for newer vehicles with more electronic wizardry that might throw a fit big it sees a power spike.

There will be two batteries - the vehicle (starter) battery and the habitation (leisure) battery. When the engine is not running, the two batteries are not connected. So the positive connector point/earthing point can only charge the starter battery, not the leisure battery.

If you can connect the van using the hookup cable the battery charger in the van should be able to charge the habitation and vehicle batteries at the same time, this will be explained in the Autosleeper handbook.
