I'm a newbie
New thread...sorry... Been trying to find out why my EHU indicator is not working (another thread!!). Now the 12v switch on the panel does nothing.. and the habitation battery indicator on the panel doesn't move. I've been working on the light over the sink if that's significant. I've checked all the fuses I can find (glove box, control box by passenger seat ) but can't find any blow fuses.. also a small fuse under the seat by the habitation battery. Am I missing any? Any ideas much appreciated..

If you've been tinkering around with electrics it does sound like you've blown a fuse.
The fuses by the glovebox on the dash are probably base vehicle fuses, you need to find the fuses for the habitation electrics and check the voltage of the leisure battery with a multimeter.

Thanks... There has been a grumbling noise coming from the Elektroblock on connection of the EHU so I'm also going to look at threads relating to that..

If you have an EBL then all fuses for habitation electrics are on there.
If it's making a noise on ehu it could be the charger faulty
Check the fuses with a multimeter, sometimes they look ok but aren't.
Aplujack and a and a caravans do repairs to EBL's, do a search on here, lots of info.
What number EBL is it ?

This advice is golden.

I wasted many, many hours tracing a fault that turned out to be 'the first thing I checked' fuse.

I'd got to the "I've checked everything so I'll start again from the beginning because I must have missed something" stage and put the multimeter on the 'perfectly good' fuse only to find out it wasn't.

Did I mention the hours and hours and hours of wasted time?

I now don't consider a fuse tested unless it's had a continuity test on a multimeter.

No multimeter? Put it into a known working circuit and see if the circuit still works.

Maybe the battery has gone flat because the kettle plug is not plugged into the EBL

If so, it needs plugging in or the starter battery will be flat next.

It could be checked by buying an ordinaly kettle lead and plugging it into the house, or the motorhome sockets if they are known to be live.
