Swift Escape 664
I got home from work today and as I walked past my van (2018 Swift Escape 664) I could hear a beeping from inside. I went to take a look inside and it was the Carbon Monoxide alarm beeping showing 188ppm. Nothing was on, everything seemed fine and I can't see any reason for it. I didn't want to go in for long ( just in case) so I opened the roof vent, closed the door and left it for an hour. When I came back it was showing zero, as I would expect.

Anyone any idea what might have caused it? There were certainly no smells of burning / overheating. The heater hasn't been on for a week or more.

It seems strange.

The vehicle battery under the floor needs replacing, I know, but why the CO?

Maybe another vehicle exhaust has been too close with the engine running and contaminated the air in your van?

I am changing the vehicle battery on Saturday. In the meantime, I have disconnected the EHU in case it knackers it further.

I think you may be right about the missus and the bacon bap, sounds plausible.

I have had this previously and like you was flumoxed. Turned out to be the habitation batteries (or one of the two) I replaced them both.
