Ah, yes, the IH one ... the first one I ever saw in the flesh was lime green ... gawd knows why they did that as a demonstrator for their new model, unless it was cheap as they didn't know how well it would work! Same colour as this one:

There are some photos of one here in a more hushed colour ... to me it looks 'home made' with that side door though ...

The back door is different too it's like a solid top section and the bottom is a hinged flap...I'm guessing probably a fixed transverse bed in the back.
Just thought it was unusual

No transverse bed as the rear is a U-shaped lounge, they replace the rear doors with a bespoke fibreglass panel and 'boot' lid for access to the storage under the seats ... hell of a price though!

Ah that makes sense

Ooh the pic of the lime green one has only just showed up for me

I like that ...that would look well nice with some customisation....big wheels, a bar etc

But I do have history there lol

I quite like the inside but not the bathroom...too much wood in there with water about

By chance we ended up at an IH rally in Oswestry last year, nice looking vans.

Yes, that’s the van that we’ve got, an N class IH, only for the discerning!!

The bright green one is a Lamborghini colour, they also did one in lambo blue, both sold at the show, Ian often does startling colours to get attention, think there is a bright orange vw at the Nec this week.

And Minxy, I keep saying, it’s only money !!

Yes it's only money ... but I love our sliding door ... and I couldn't live with the IH initials all over or the cosmetic finish.

Looked through their website and they do have some really nice PVCs, however I'm intrigued what payload they have as most were quoted mgw as 3.5t? They look heavy with their fittings and slide out. Would any current owner comment please?

Hi Mick, they are all built on the “heavy” chassis with 16inch wheels etc so can be plated from 3500 up to 4200 or 4250 at owners request.
Speaking to owners, factory spec vans have c500kg payload decreasing depending on what extras are fitted. IH take it to local weighbridge if you ask, before purchase.
My own van, with a huge spec including levellers etc was 3500 unladen but Fullish tanks and plated at 4200, giving us a very acceptable 700kg payload.
Hope that helps.

Minxy, I agree with you on the sliding door, in summer it’s great to have the sunshine flooding in. We don’t think one is better or worse than the other, they are just different and give entirely different feel especially at the front. Great to have choice!
On the IH initials, if you don’t like them you don’t have to have them, you just say, joy of a bespoke van.

I have the 630 RL without the slide out or single door it’s plated at 3500 and if I took it to the weigh bridge ready for a trip it would weigh in at 3500, so not a lot to play with.:whistle:

We have taken a shine to an IH 630 RL and are back up at NEC tomorrow to see if we can finalize interest in that or the Wildax Europa or Auto Sleeper Fairford.
Few bob to be saved if the latter 2 end up in the frame.
Very interesting comment re payload.
