hi all we are going to the lincoln show tomorrow (saturday)
I am looking forward to camping and looking round the show but debz my other half isn't into looking round shows as her ex used to drag her round kit car shows. which she hated.

are there any funsters out there who's partners felt this way at first??

andy.

Just let her loose round the trade stalls she will find loads of things you need to make your home on wheels nicer/better - loads of stuff you never knew you needed and probably dont but looked right and useful at the time. Its more like a big market with all the stalls selling stuff for motorhomes/caravans. Yes there are also vans and conversions and 5th wheels for sale there but its the stalls most of us go for, and the evening entertainment of course be it in one of the buildings or back at the fun corral

Heres hoping you have a good time at the lincoln show.

If you are not camping with motorhomefun make sure you go and find where the motorhome funsters are pitched and introduce yourselves.

Look out for the very large bright yellow flags with the word fun on it (or nuf) if haganaps flag is flying upside down :Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1:

The funsters usually get together in the evening and have a really good time socialising so go join in but theres usually someone sitting near their motorhome during the day.

We havent found some of the shows particularly good this year and would not have gone if we werent part of motorhome fun, but we go to meet new funsters and have a good old chat, drink and fun with those we already know.

Have a safe journey and let us know how it goes, we cant be there unfortunately

As Maggie said, most are more like markets, yes loads of MH related stuff, but also shoes, clothes, food, often crafty things etc etc, just go open minded and have FUN:thumb:

You lucky man, it might be safe to take your CC then.

Somehow I don't think it will work like that, these shows are like Aladdin's Cave. MH goodies, clothing, chocolate, foods and loads of MHs to peer into. Mighty dangerous places.

Hi aba, Just bringing this to the top..

How did it go then? Did you BOTH enjoy it in the end. Pity the weather was so bad but hopefully you took a bus into Lincoln at some point and saw the brilliant sites there...

it went well debz spent saturday afternoon reading then watched some tv.
i wandered round the show just to get a feel for where everything was then met up with my parents whom were camped 3 rows down and about 5 vans across from where we were then we went to the barn for the entertainment last night.
my intentions for this morning were to get up have breakfast then get down to funster camp to meet some people. however i was rather ill this morning being :censored:2 sick so didn't get to functor camp
managed to get round the show this afternoon met a couple of interesting characters forgot to exchange e-mail addys  bought a gaslow kit and some levelling ramps meanwhile debz was meeting other campers round where we were parked and funnily enough a chap in a 60 plate autotrail who also said the show thing wasn't for him.

so it looks like were going to try a general funster meet next to see if she can get into that.:thumb:

so sorry i didn't get down to meet you all but there will be a meet soon that we can attend but working 5 1/2 days a week makes it difficult to get away.

andy.

if Debz just enjoys chillin' and meeting folks then the general 'none show' meets will be right up her street.

much socialising and drinking with some of the strangest/craziest/friendliest people you'll ever meet.:thumb:

Yep. But can still chill out on her own with a good book in privacey if she wishes without anyone thinking where is she then....:thumb::thumb:
