Not exactly touring!

We are thinking to maybe following the ‘Snowbirds’ one winter.
Having never done this before just wondering if Portugal or Spain is the better option?
We would drive down thru France and spend 3 months in P or S. December to end of February.
Any thoughts on this, bearing in mind we have a tight budget!

Given the long dreary winter we had in the UK this year we are looking at about 6 weeks in Spain (or Portugal if that is better). Not having done this before we need some pointers. The CMC do hosted winter breaks. Are they to be recommended.? Or, try out independent sites but do these get...

Winter in Portugal?

Is Portugal a good place to stay for six to eight weeks Jan,Feb, March? Does not have to the hottest place in Europe but reasonably warm and dry. Any tips gratefully received Thanks
