Just looking
Hi all.
Planning a trip in late March.
We have a MWB campervan self-build, self-contained.
We have solar but this time of year EHU sometimes needed if there's little sun.
We are members of ccc, EH  and NT.
We also like walking, nature, wandering round nice villages/towns, good scenery whether it be countryside or coast.
Tentative first stop after leaving our native Sunderland is Bellingham ccc club site via Belsay Hall EH.
A few days there then off to East coast via Cragside NT.
We fancy visiting Bamburgh castle, Dunstanburgh castle, Warkworth castle and Seaton Sluice hall.
We hardly know Northumberland even though it's on our doorstep, although we have been to Keilder reservoir once and Lindisfarne once; many years ago.
Not against P4N or SFS but needs to be safe, reasonably quiet and although we've done pub stops we dont really like eating in pubs although a pint or 2 goes down well.
Would appreciate any advice on places to stay and what/where is good to do/see.
And wow, I've managed the post without spell corrector interfering !!!!!

Hi.. we’re heading up to Scotland in April from the midlands and planning on stopping in the Bamburgh castle car park on the way.. it’s bookable online… no facilities as such but it is a dedicated Moho stopover.. ideal as a journey breaker and to have a wander around the town

Several car parks you can stay on but have to book via the Northumberland council web site.

SFS is good to find sites, also look in out and about for C&CC DA meets and THS sites.

Wooler is very nice, P4n old school now a car park. (Free)
Cragside car park near the village of Rothbury P4n. ( free)
Alnwick free car park just on the outside ( free)
Non has service or electric.
