Northern Motorcaravan Show

We were in Pickering today and visited the Showground where the Northern Motorcaravan Show will be held in September.

The showground is signed as the "Northern Events Arena" and not Pickering Showground.

It's situated on the left of the A169 (Malton to Pickering road) about 1.5 miles before Pickering, it's after the turn off for "Flamingo Land"

For the Sat Navers the GPS co-ords are

N54º 13.665 W0º 46.294

N54.22775 W0.77157

Hi Keith,

When Warner's stated Pickering Showground I was expecting a smaller version of Peterborough/Lincoln.

There's this new prefabricated building with not a lot inside and three portoloos and that's it at present.

I think the building has not been up long so it might be better in September.

I appreciate these places do look a bit forlorn when they are empty.

Anyway we will see what it's like in September.

The C & C C have their "Feast of Lantern" festival in August and are expecting 3000 so we might get some feed back from them.
