Plans to trial overnight motorhome parking restriction on the coast

Three coastal locations in North Yorkshire are set to trial a restriction on overnight motorhome parking in response to complaints from residents and safety fears.

It doesn't surprise at all at sandsend it's often full with motorhomes a lot of which stay all day but the parking is cheap for the first hour presumably to encourage short time visits. A lot of locals complain that during the season they can't get a space to walk their dogs even early in the morning.

Scarborough council hates motorhomers, they always have. You can't even park in the sealife centre carpark out of season now. I wonder how many councillors have association with site owners ???

So why do the Council not make that 6m regulation for cars, even LPG or dual fuel powered - for safety reasons?

it's a sensible ruling just that it's their reasoning. I'm perfectly happy on aires close together
