Hi getting adventurous now going to do the Northcoast 500 middle of April for 10 days have booked our first pitch in Inverness and wondering whether to plan and book them all before we go our preference would be just to go and see where we want to stay when we are on the road has anyone ever been at this time of year and was it busy also any places that we really should visit any info would be great

Have you looked at the many NC500 information websites?
Here's just a couple......

and

and one person's 'must see' places

and a 10 day itinerary here:

We did it back in COVID escape days in October when the midges have gone and the trees are on the turn. We went anticlockwise and found the east coast the best side. Take each day as it comes and only go to proper sites when you need water and toilet emptying. Going around always make sure you top up with fuel and enjoy.

We are going that way at the start of May. We shall set off from Inverness and probably go anti clockwise. No plans to book anything as I've no idea how long we will take or stop on the way.

Wont be too busy in April, there are plenty places to stop, and sites to view/stay.
good luck, enjoy
