Hi we are travelling to the North East coast in Spain. Most campsites closed 15/10 ?? Anyone know any beach Aires or campsites still open. I have apps but the last 3 sites we looked at were closed.

There's a good free aire at Laredo I used. No services but it's on the beach
By the dropped pin

It was busy and a bit cramped when I was there in September but it was a great location

North East Spain is a wild and beautiful place to visit. As you have found there won't be many, If any camp sites open at this time of year. We have toured this area a couple of times excusivly using search for sites and found some wonderful costal, inland and city locations. But we all need services at some point. we found Aire type stopovers from Search for sites, some with electric, with water and disposal facilities, although I don't know if water is turned off out of season.Have a look at Jumar's recent travels in this area.
Where ever you wind up enjoy.

North East is Barcelona area isn't it? Search for sites you can filter to show only sites open this month.

Yes it could be said.
Perhaps the op needs to define area of interest.
I'd interpreted it as Bilbao area but you could be correct

Wrong end of the country
Really looking at Spain I thought North East would be Barcelona area highlighted in the map? It's in the North and its East? Perhaps the OP should clarify exactly what area they mean.

Camping Rifort L’Estartit closes 5th November - not sure when you’re coming or for how long? 5 mins walk to beach and although a lot has closed for the season there’s plenty open.

Camping Les Medes is also open all year but is outside the town, just over a mile to the edge of town.

We were at Laredo, Camping Playa del Regaton back in June. Lovely place. If we go back, that aire could be good for a couple of nights as it's at the other end of town.

Camping Salata at Santa Margarida, Roses, Costa Brava, superb small site within short walking distance of supermarkets, restaurants, a lovely promenade along beach front superb beach I could go on. We are just back from there after a 3 week stay. Discounts for longer stays, 20% for 6 to 13 days, 30% for 14 to 27 days, 40% for 28+. Serviced pitches, free wifi what’s not to like, used it since 2017. They close 2ndJanuary for 4 weeks, need to book ahead it’s so popular.

TJtrippin Dear Sir or Madam.
Having asked a question, it would be polite to peruse the answers several people have offered.
As Spain clearly has two eastern frontiers, San Sebastion (North East Spain) or Rosas and Estartit on the mediteranean (also strictly to the East and North of the rest of the Spanish coastline).
You should find plenty of places to camp on the Med, which gets warmer south of Valencia. Alternately the 'North coast of Spain is cooler and wetter in the winter, with less motorcampers and sites open.

TJtrippin hasn’t been back on the form, logged in, since 3:32pm on the day they asked the question, so are unlikely to have seen the help offered or clarification requested
