Nord Electra 237 - connecting solar to NE 237 control unit? which connector, from where?

i got round to the big 'switch on' whilst away in France, i used the correct connector for the ne237 and wired everything up as the instructions showed.

i didnt get any sort of reading on the monitor connected direct to the MPPT originally, but it was down to a poor connection (from me) - i ended up removing the connection to the NE237 controller and wired direct to the leisure battery and immediately got the data displayed as it should on the mppt control panel

it didnt show up on the actual motorhome control panel (its supposed to show when its receiving a charge - though it does when plugged in to the mains) - but as it wasnt connected up via the ne237 i didnt really expect it to,

having proved it all worked as it should and letting it do its stuff in France, i decided this morning to re route it all through the ne237 again. once again i got no reading of it charging up via the ne237 panel and this time i didnt get a reading of any charge (in watts) being fed to the batteries on the mppt control panel??

all the lights are on as they should be on the mppt itself

i think my solution is going to be ignore the ne237 and go direct to the leisure battery PLUS add somelhing like the vanbitz battery master to ensure a trickle charge to the starter battery. i could then keep an eye on charhing via the mppt controller monitor. i intend fitting lithium very soon, so no doubt will be able to check everything via bluetooth/bms to my phone and ignore the actual mppt monitor !

You said you have a dual output controller so no need for battery master. You could use the starter battery output from the controller and connect it to the positive from the starter battery on the underside of the NE237.
