Hi all :) We have a 2024 Swift Voyager - when the tap runs the pump under the bed is rather loud. Being our first motorhome we have no idea if this is normal or not. It sounds like a very quiet jackhammer - certainly noisy enough to wake everyone up in the MH if I run the tap in the morning.

Is this normal? It looks to be mounted vertically directly onto the bed frame under the mattress - I had considered mounting it on anti-vibration feet but feel I shouldn't have to do this on a brand new MH.

Some pumps are very noisy. If it works and doesn’t leak just live with it. Mounted on wood it could well make a racket

Might not be the pump, I was suprised at mine but turned out it was one of the waterpipes at the back of the shower rattling against the plastic, when the pump was firing. The actual pump under the floor was quiet enough

Pumps do make a noise though for a few seconds, if you arent used to it it may sound surprisingly loud, but yes, a normal one is loud enough to wake me

It's always good to turn all taps on and get rid of air in pipes. I always do this before I start a new trip having previously emptied the tanks. I generally find the pump runs a lot quieter after doing this. I have a Swift Bessacarr so presume similar pump system.

It’s probably a shurflo pump suffering from an air ingression. Can be fixed easily by undoing 4 screws and re seating, and not too expensive if knackered.

What is it attached to, mine is against the van wall, it vibrates. I have learnt to live with it.

When we had a diaphragm pump we simply turned it off at night. Kept a filled filter jug for general use and a hand spray bottle for rinsing the toilet after nocturnal excursions.

Problem with rubber mounting the pump is it will could void the warranty if you have pump failure at a later date.
Once out of warranty you can do what you want.
