No Wipers !

Took the van (2007 diesel Citroen Relay) for its weekly run, all was well to start with then the windscreen wipers stopped, I checked the handbook & found it is fuse 43 (30amp) I checked the fuse which looked ok & even changed it for a new one - still won’t work, with the wiper control on I checked for wiper motor sound- nothing (on the plus side no signs of burning) - I’m now at a loss what to check - all advice welcome please.

is there a relay for them my work van wipers sometimes dont work immediately after startup till i have tried the switch a couple of times,i assumed it was something like a relay not switching straight away

Mine is a 2018 C. Relay so not sure if it’s relevant to yours but on mine the relay is fitted to the motor and the whole mechanism and Motor had to be replaced when the wipers stopped working on anything less than full speed. If you can remove the plastic scuttle and take a look at the motor, if it has a plastic box built on the end then it’s the same as mine. Cost over £250 to replace

My partner recently went to buy a van and the wipers were playing up, they would work for a minute or two until the van started driving then go off, seller said they would fix them before agreed sale went through. After getting several things like relay, bad earth connection, fuse tested it turned out to be the BCM, quite an expensive repair for the sellers. Hope your fault is much less costlier.

Ok thank, I’ll investigate the relay (if I can identify it) and search YouTube for possible hint,
I should add that everything else electrical is working correctly

If it's the motor it's not that difficult a job just to swap the whole linkage and motor assembly

I have the mechanical aptitude of Mr bean but I managed to do it on a Ducato , the hardest bit was getting the wiper arms off without a puller but YouTube is your friend , a couple of spanners and a thump

Think it was about £90 for the linkage & motor from ECP but eBay has them around £65

Seeing that PVC's utilise Fiat or Citroen as the base unit, I'm wondering if anyone has the Haynes manual ?​

If so would they be kind enough to have a look & see what info there is about windscreen wiper motor & it's associated electrical relay(s)

We have 2007 Ducato with a similar story last year. On doing a pre-MOT check the wipers ran for a short while then just stopped. Replaced the motor using Coastal Motorhomes. Free delivery and following day despatch for stock items.

Seem to have a pretty comprehensive range. Ours is an 'A' class so a bit of a pain to work on but only an hour's work assuming nothing seized.
