Hi All,

We just bought a 2017 Bessacarr and amazed to find the water tank does not have a progressive gauge, only a warning indication that it’s nearly empty! Very surprised in an otherwise well equipped motorhome.

Have any Funsters fitted a gauge to a 496?

Would appreciate any pointers on what kit to get from where!

If you can gain access to the underside of your fresh water tank, then your best option is a Mopeka Pro H2O wireless sensor which are very accurate and can be calibrated to suit different tank capacities. I use these for both my fresh and grey tanks and the LPG version for our underslug gas tank.

Getting there!
Are you sure? Our 2012 had the multi prong sensor to give readings which is also mentioned in this 2018 handbook I found online.

Absolute beginners.
Possibly, the sensor prongs need a good clean off with a greeny scourer, or similar, if you have access through the top.

I’m pretty sure there’s no gauge, panel above the door has no option to check fresh and waste like our last 774, only get a message “fresh water low” coming up. So there must be a sensor in the tank. Level gauges have been around a long time so amazed that this seems not to have one.

Many thanks for the reply! I’ll give the Mopeka a go, looks ideal!

What panel is it?

If it’s a Sargent EC620 I think you can connect via Bluetooth and the Swift Command app to see the water levels.
