No power to control panel or lights, fridge etc. However, microwave has power . No trips! Any ideas?

No power to control panel ,fridge lights etc. However microwave works. No tripped switch. Any ideas?
 
Assume you are on hook up hence microwave works.

Would be very helpful if you said what MH you have?

First off Check Hab battery voltage, needs to be 12v+

Clutching at straws but on my control there is a 20 amp fuse , could it be fuse to control panel that’s blown, mines a burstner and I can can access back of control panel easy, I’m sure some will came alone with help shortly

If you are pressing the master power on button on the control panel and nothing is working (and the leisure battery is not dis-charged) maybe the control panel 5 amp fuse in the PDU 12v fuses section is faulty (there may also be battery supply fuses there to check)

sorry assumed you had a multimeter circa £10-20 unable to check any electric issue without one----- unless using an appropriate voltage test lamp.

I say again........(having the known basic facts is important before making diagnostic guesses).

Is that off grid and via an inverter or with EHU connected?
Have the control panel, lights and fridge been working O.K. or is this the first time out in a new-to-you m/home?

With the minimum of info lets guess
you have ehu microwave works
fridge does not work, some fridges need 12v even to work on mains.
cant switch on 12v panel add together so LB dead/ discharged or main fuse gone.
Next job buy a meter.
If it were a starter battery i would suggest lifting the terminals and look for corossion.

Leisure battery is dead. Is there a smell of drains? We had same problem everything worked on 240v but nothing with 12v unless fuse has blown?

If nothing at all on the 12V side is working, then you need to check the 12V supply to the distribution/fusebox. There will be a thick wire from the leisure battery to the distribution box, with a large fuse, maybe 30A or 50A very near the leisure battery end. That's the first thing to check, it can be done without a meter.

For anything else, you'll need a multimeter, or maybe a test lamp. You can get a cheap multimeter good enough for this job for a tenner or so at a DIY store. If you have never used a meter before, plug the red wire into the socket with 'V' in the label. Plug the black wire into the socket labelled 'COM'. Switch to the 20V DC range. Sometimes they have a symbol - two lines, one solid, one dotted - to show DC. And a curly line to show AC. All battery stuff is DC.

Push the black probe onto the battery negative terminal (push firmly so the point breaks through the surface oxide). Push the red probe onto the battery positive terminal. It should give you a voltage reading of about 12V.

If the battery is not being charged it will be about 12.0V to 12.7V. If it's being charged, it will be about 13.0V to 14.7V. If it's quite flat it will be less than 12V.

If you got the positive and negative crossed over, nothing bad happens, but a minus sign appears in front of the voltage reading.

If the battery is good (12.0 to 12.7V) then further investigation along the wires is required. What is the make/model of your 12V distribution/fusebox?

You need some sort of test gear, if you don't have a meter (DVM) you can either buy (Cheap cheerful jobby) or at the very least get a 12 car lamp and holder, connect a couple of lengths of wire (circa 12-18") to the lamp holder. terminals and uUsing a couple of pieces of terminal strip (choc Block) and a couple of small nails. Use the terminal strip to join one wire of the two from the lamp holder to a nail and ditto the second wire.

You now have a 12v test lamp.

You can use this to check the leisure battery, bright, ok, dim, NOT ok, dark, probably will need new ones.

You can check fuses etc with the test lamp.

Happy to discuss if you have some test kit, otherwise it's look and see! If nothing looks wrong then without something to test with it's a guessing game.
