I have no oven in the camper, do not wish to fit one as it would take my only cupboard. What would be best to get? Can I get something to use on the hob? I do not want it to run on electricity.I'm sure all you brilliant cooks out there will have a cunning plan

I’m assuming you are wanting something that is not dependent on EHU? If so you could consider a double skillet which a lot on here recommend. Once mastered I believe you can do allsorts of cooking. If on electric then there are loads of options - personally I liked a Remoska in the past, but I’m now using a small air fryer.

We have a remoska, air fryer and slow cooker.

This is the first van we have had without an oven, I use an air fryer, so far not missed the over but not tried to do a soufflé in the air fryer yet. :giggle:
I've not done one in my home oven either

No oven ordered on our up-coming new van, we will be using our brilliant Ninja Foodi 15 in 1 which does absolutely everything we require and a 3 tier small steamer. 👍

His original post said no electricity.
A number of people use ridge mommies of which now there are a variety of “add ones” beyond the original. We don’t have one but many seem to use them.
There is a face book page on cooking with two burner hobs which I can’t find the name for at present, that will have some ideas. Some take a small pressure cooker.

But some people are now using electricity from large solar/B2B, lithium batteries and inverter - no EHU involved.

Slow cooker which will run from a small inverter and solar panels or from van engine when on the move - but make sure it is safe to use on the move. Ours went in the sink when travelling.

Never had a oven in either MH, two burner gas hob only, we have one collapsable saucepan and 2 pans, thats it for travel, and a Raclette with grill plate top for those EHU moments.
Travel is all pasta, stir-fry and a lot of cold plate/ salad when in warmer climes.

I've got 2 x 100 amp lithium but the air fryer soon killed them due to no sun. Bought a small airfryer but can't get much in it.
We use a 1400 watt air fryer & for cooking outdoors an induction hob, don't use EHU but have 460Ah of Lithium.

Depends on how much room you have, for a very small camper I'd be using a Ridge Monkey, you'd be surprised what you can cook in one on the gas ring, takes up little space.
I've no oven, never had a motorhome with one and don't miss not having one, in fact I rarely use my oven at home, prefering woks and deep, lidded saute pans. I'm not a great meat eater anyway so stir-frys and the like along with salad as opposed to a roast dinner.
Only ever had ovens in caravans - and just used them for storage rather than cooking.
Many 'continental' motorhomes don't usually come equipped with an oven as standard as many European sites have barbeques or people cook outside or eat lighter, easy to prepare meals which don't require an oven.

I didn't know the OP was using an inverter.
He may or may not but he asked what others without an oven use and like all the answers here most run off electric whether that's via EHU or inverter.
