Nice Country Pub / B&B En-Route to Portsmouth ?

Hi,

Traveling by car to Bilbao later in the year. Sunday out from Porstmouth on Cap Finistere so a Nice cabin with two night crossing.

We want to leave Manchester on Saturday Morning and stay overnight on our way to Portsmouth. Would like to be within 30 mins drive of Portsmouth.

Any nice Pubs or B&B's/Small Family Hotels?

We would also like somewhere with fairly safe and secure parking, as the car will be loaded up with goodies.

I have tried Booking.com but prefer first hand experiences and direct booking please?

This is just down the road from me and 10-15 mins away from Portsmouth straight down the M27.
Not stayed but have been to a couple of functions and it looks ok..
