For those of us planning to travel to Europe around or after Christmas the following news report may well have implications for us.

Millions of people could have to get a booster jab to keep their Covid vaccine passport up to date, the Health Secretary has said.

Sajid Javid said "I can't rule out" changing the definition of fully-vaccinated from two doses to three, for people who are eligible.

That would have a knock-on effect on vaccine passports, which are already needed for travel, and could be brought in at a week's notice in England's nightclubs and large venues this winter.

It comes after France announced over-65s will need to show proof of a booster from mid-December to keep their health pass valid - allowing access to restaurants, trains and planes.”

Had my booster 4 days ago. Not showing on my NHS app yet. Worrying. Early days perhaps.

We are due our boosters next week and are due to travel to France/Spain over the New Year, that’s why I found the article to be of concern.

Especially so as we live in Wales and have the “Welsh NHS App”.

We have found that France are very hot on Covid passes when you go into restaurants but Germany, Belgium and Switzerland didn’t worry about it.

My booster was administered over a week ago and not showing in my NHS record. Not a problem as yet as not travelling abroad but would l8ke to see that the information is recorded and accessible !

Our boosters were administered on 8 Nov, and do show up now on NHS app - but not under the Get your NHS Covid Pass section, which I assume is what links to the French TousAntiCovid app to produce the Pass'Sanitaire. Rather it shows under Your GP health record, under Immunisations. So, good news is it's there (for us at least) but the bad news is it doesn't see to be incorporated where it needs to be! Press articles earlier in the week seemed to suggest the DoH were aware of the issue, so will hopefully resolve it? (He said with no great confidence!)

Is there any option for a medical exemption ? I'm still not right after my second OAZ jab which I had in May, so I'm not rushing to get my booster, looks like I might have to add "recluse" to my CV ?

Even more puzzling- my wife & I both have the NHS app, same version, running on iPads using the same iOS version. Mine shows immunisations, hers doesn’t. But for both of us the booster jab shows in the Your Gp Record/Medicines/Acute (Short-term) medicines section. Hard to make sense of the structure of the data, so it’s a bit concerning how they’re going to update it!

Even better than that - just checked and my Covid pass for international travel is now showing a third 2d code with booster!

BBC news today shows the NHS App will show your booster vaccination for travel as from today 😊

BREAKING

Boosters can be added to NHS Covid Pass for travel

Travellers who have had a booster or a third dose will be able to demonstrate their vaccine status through the NHS Covid Pass from today, the government has announced.
It will enable those who have had their booster or third dose to travel to countries including Israel, Croatia and Austria, who have already introduced a time limit for the Covid-19 vaccine to be valid for quarantine-free travel.

your a little concerned I going for 3 weeks next Saturday and not due for the booster until 1/12/21 and no letter from NHSWales as yet but I am not in the right age group either

Both had both vaccines and boosters. Mine shows all 3 on the NHS app but annoyingly , in spite of being “linked” to my NHS app it does not show any for my husband. I can see all of his medical records, book appts etc but not get a Covid pass. Went through help section and it actually says you can’t do it. I have tried to logout and then re enter his details onto the app just to get a copy but not possible. He doesn’t have a smart phone and doesn’t want one or even except for this does he need one. So looks like we have to send for a paper copy of his before we go to France in January. I just can’t see why it won’t show a linked person’s vaccination record!

I've got a smart phone, Mrs Rod hasn't. I can log into the MHS app as either her or me and get to our records appropriately and get a Covid pass for each of us either on screen or emailed to us with the option of .pdf version to print. Obviously the printed ones are only valid for 28? days (maybe a calendar month as I did one today and it expires on the 19th December) from being requested as with all printed versions.

Thanks appreciate all your help. Sorry to be on 2 threads but wasn’t sure which one most applied to my question.

In Boulogne today, cafe staff asked for QR code, showed them our NHS hard copy, they smile and served us, didn't scan at all. Some places just want to see a QR code - any code!

Also very happy to report we imported half a pint of milk and some Cheshire cheese. Only thing the tunnel border staff were interested in was lpg shut off and sight of an NHS QR code again didn't scan. Auchan Boulogne is superb, I'd forgotten how good French hypermarkets are. Diesel at €1.50 per litre. Happy days 😄
