I’m a newbie
About to pick up our new motorhome 6 months old looks lovely and still smells new too. When not in use it will be in a good secure storage facility. The world of security is complex! It’s a Swift 685 and if I read the forum right they are fitted with a tracking devices so good to know you can find it if it’s stolen but keen to invest in security that will prevent theft - lots of options to chose from but keen to get views of experienced motorhomers - advice welcome

If it's on a remote site which doesn't have a 24 hour guard I suggest you get a system which warns you by mobile phone if anyone breaks into it. A system to disable the vehicle remotely would do no harm either, just in case anyone does try driving it away.

To stop the system flattening the batteries a solar panel more or less essential I think. 100W or ideally more if you have the space and a battery master or equivalent to keep the vehicle battery charged. :)

Vanbitz Growler and non starter. Even if someone nicks your keys it won’t start, and the alarm will wake the dead. Very highly recommended with a night free on their excellent campsite and you get 10% funsters discount if you ask when ordering

very highly recommended.....

now eddievanbitz .... about those lithium batteries......
