Hi..I've had my van for 15 years and do not use much gas so rarely need to buy refills. However, i understand that calor gas no longer make the 3.9 propane but suggest a larger size. Trouble is my cabinet is only big enough for the 3.9 propane. What are the suggestions to resolve this?

According to the calor web site they are still available, just maybe not from your local supplier.

The 6kg is around 15cm taller but similar diameter.

I don’t believe that there is a comparable cylinder to the 3.9 on the market.

One option is to get a refillable like a Gaslow or Safefill. Although then you'll face the issue of finding somewhere that'll refill it.

Can you get a refillable that small?

Maybe ( and I’ll get my tin hat and flack jacket ready ) buy a large cylinder and the appropriate pipework and ……….. 🤭😉

Thanks Phil - it appears mixed messages about whether they are still being made or not. But long term I would need to change. Thinking some sort of refilable solution but not sure of size availability given the limited space i have to play with.

Gaslow do a small refillable around the same size as the small calor. Worst case you may have to consider Camping Gaz. o_O

The small Gaslo is about the size of a camping gaz 907 but has a long kneck but I'm sure it could be modified if it doesn't fit. I did read that the 3.9 kg calor has had a stay of execution but tracking one down could be fun

The 3.9kg Butane bottle has been discontinued, but limited supply is available at our Calor Distribution Centres for exchange only.

Unfortuneatly the boating community were negotiating announced this before calor confirmed

Oops they have been collected in the only ones around are in.private hands

That notice does say Butane not Propane?
Yes, I saw that, I think thats a typo.. the photo beside the notice is Propane bottle as is the notice headline Propane, and the drop down specs it says 3.9 kg ..the Butane bottle is 4.5kg

Depending where you are I have a 3.9kg calor gas

The 2.7kg Gaslow refillable is your best bet.

If you use minimal gas, a refillable will be an expensive solution. The 5Kg Gaslight will be the most cost effective solution. It is 393H 305W. Another alternative might be one of the Patio Gas bottles which come in a variety of sizes.

Have you considered fitting an underslung refillable tank🤔😊

The problem will be cost. Even small tanks cost in excess of £500 (probably nearer double that) due to the install.
