Hi all,

Great to be part of this community.

Picked up our first motorhome in June, and have enjoyed some great times in it already. Absolutely loving the relaxed life of motorhoming......but already looking to plan a trip in to Europe next Spring/Summer.

Loosely planning Channel Tunnel, then down through Belgium, Luxembourg, Bern in Switzerland and then home via the French Alps.

Have driven in France many times, so that doesn't cause me any issues, but was just hoping to pick up some basic beginners tips for taking the motorhome to Europe. Necessary permissions, documents, legal requirements, potential best routes, etc, etc. Literally anything you think a newbie might need to know when planning a trip like this.

Would really appreciate your valuable input. Thanks in advance.

The first piece of advice is to get membership on here for 20 nicker a year, then you will be able to get endless advice.

For example one of your next 4 posts should include hobbies, interests, who is travelling with you, how many days, do you have solar and batteries, then we can start offering advice as to what to see en route eg have a gander at "cascades du Herrison" which is on your way and there will be several others.

Best of luck

Tunnel or ferry and from which port
