I’m a newbie.
Hi all.
Just bought my first motorhome.
It’s a 1995 Fiat. Almost 30 but had a lot replaced.
My question:
I drained the waste water.
I put the pump on and tested the water.
I then opened the waste water, a few minute ls later and tonnes came out - like a lot more than the couple of litres that came out of the tap.
If this isn’t normal, what do I need to do?

It sounds to me like there was already some in it, the grey water level gauges are notoriously unreliable, so it may have said it was empty but wasn't actually.

many many years! since I was a kid
simply a minor blockage in the tank outlet overcome by adding a few extra litres stirring it up. Don't worry too much unless it keeps happening or develops a stink like boiling cabbage

I’m a newbie.
Thanks everyone so far.
I’m tr to ng to get the hot water on.
The yellow/orange light is “water heater heating-up phase” according to the instructions.
Any idea how long it takes to heat up?
Or should the hot water be instant?

Since 2015, still learning
Not instant. Mine (different model) takes about 20ish min to get to 50 degrees

Never instant hot water.
Newer boilers maybe 25 minutes and a good amount of hot water, older Carver systems a bit longer. Gas usually quicker than electric.

As said, the level gauges are rubbish :giggle:

Puriclean powder mixed in HOT water is a good way to clean your fresh water tank.
Add it and more clean water on top and then drive around to slosh, leave a few hours overnight and empty and flush again with clean 👍🏼

Good start.
