We are picking up our first motorhome next week, an Auto-Trail Expedition C72.
Currently it has a factory fitted cat 1 Thatcham approved immobiliser - insurance company are fine with that.
It has a retrofitted Gemini alarm (cat 1) - insurance company are fine with that.
I'm buying an Armalite Resolute lock for the steering wheel and footbrake - insurance company are giving me a 5% discount for that.
It will be stored at a non-CASSOA storage facility, with high fencing, CCTV, 24hr locked gates, no tailgating policy, and a bloody big dog - insurance company are fine with that.
After previous advice on here, I am considering turning the driver's seat and locking with a motorcycle lock.
I was considering a tracker, but given that it only reduces the insurance premium by £19, I'm not so sure the initial layout and then the subscription justifies it, particularly with the other features and the storage facility. For the first year we're sticking to the UK, but will consider it again once we think about venturing into Europe.
Any thoughts?
