We have a 2016 Burstner MH on a Ducato 2.3. After suffering the dreaded airbag ECU failure ( now replaced) we are about to fit a new starter battery. However, the van is fitted with an Autowatch 695 alarm.
Does anyone know if replacing the starter battery causes problems with this alarm?

I have an Autowatch 695 on our 2018 Westfalia and had a new battery fitted - because of the dreaded airbag problem. No problem with the Alarm was noted when the battery was changed.

What's the dreaded airbag problem...?
The Fiat airbag ECU is notorious prone to failure.
My 2019 one went this very morning for no, absolutely no bloody reason.
It's a £300+ item if it can't be repaired.

Ok ...does the airbag go off...?

Ah...love those warning lights...had o e on the wife s mini for 2 years ..just keep resetting it....car runs OK...

Get some long well insulated jumper leads, connect the two batteries then swop them over while still attached so no loss of voltage to the system. Some folk attach a small motorbike battery to do the same.
