All will be forgotten by the time anyone will be allowed to put rubber to tarmac here in Spain..and when that should happen check out roundabout procedures and carrying flashing lights to compliment warn triangles and eventually replace them...web site N332 will keep you up to date...

NB for UK drivers (as and when...!!!) the 20kph limit in towns will feel incredibly slow as its only just over 12mph. Equally to 30 kph limit is just 18MPH so until you're used to them it's very easy to exceed them. We tend to have an abundance of pedestrian crossings in some towns as local by laws only allow pedestrians to cross the road on designated crossings, and the concept of pausing to check the road is clear before crossing does not occur to most (maybe as they're expecting traffic to only be doing less than 12mph so its easy for them to stop).

Last time I was back in the UK (around 7 years ago) I was mortified at first by the speed everyone drove at in towns and residential areas - no wonder so many people get splatted!

Uk has fewer road deaths than Spain and we have 40% more cars on the road so our road tolls are much lower.

We have always had the dual carriageway from Lorca to Águilas at the top of the road.It has always had a 50kmh limit. At no time have they ever attempted to check speeds along its more than 2km length. Most lorries sit on the speed limiter & it is nothing to be overtaken in excess of 160kph ,although you get far less of it these days. At the top of our road it change from 50kph to 100kph . In that section they regularly have a hidden camera & pull the vehicles at the traffic lights. It is all very odd when you consider they could be fining 99,5% of people travelling on the 50kph stretch ?

arrying flashing lights to compliment warn triangles and eventually replace them..
Saw that Carrefours appear to have them in stock already .13€ Didn't have my reading glasses to check that they were the correct ones that emit the gps locator signal.

My Citroen car has a GPS locator and a Emergency button too....when involved in an accident and the Airbag goes off a signal is sent to an emergency call centre..they call you and if they get no response the emergency services respond...just how good is that....
Didn't know that the lights had GPS fitted....they were 18€ each from Amazon. made by Osram....I've tested them a few times...never seen anyone looking for me..😟🇪🇦

Sadly not according to the stats for the raw number of lives lost, but as always with any form of statistics it can be "spun" to look better - eg viewing the numbers as a percentage of population...

These's a similar setting on my Samsung phone, if it senses a shock and then everything is still it phones somewhere 🤔
I didn't bother activating it.

Will all these speed limits be signed or do drivers have to remember the law as described in the link, e.g. like knowing what the speed is when passing the town/village sign in France?

I was going to ask..
I hope so, remembering that lot is impossible, I'd forgot it by the time I got to the end 🙄

Same on my Discovery. Good these modern cars aren't they....

Many speed limits here have dropped recently from 50 to 40. And apparently they're dropping the 10/15% leniency.

Spain has one of the largest passenger car stocks in the European Union, with approximately 23.5 million cars registered.

In Great Britain, there were 31.9 million cars
