Ah right maybe it's just the CMG controller giving me that impression then because when the battery is full it seems to cycle around the numbers very rapidly and continuously like it's constantly trying to do something, trying maybe than doing then ....
I'm going to do the recommended and cable straight through to the battery and leave it live all the time, I guess I may add the solar isolator as well to save the need to clamber up to roof if I do disconnect the battery for whatever reason.
