Been moho’ing for a time now
I have on the passenger door on my Hymer the Fiamma safe door lock with the tubular key, today I dropped the key and part of the circle was broken off. A new lock is quite cheap, but to change it, it’s a MAJOR job, I have to strip the inner door panel off to change the lock, any ideas as to where I can get a replacement key would be appreciated, the circular key has nine cut outs

Sounds like a lowe & Fletcher. No problem if you have the key number.

I needed a spare. Fiamma couldn't help. I took it to Timpsons and they sent it away and now I have the spare that I needed.

Many thanks for the suggestion, I telephoned Lowe and Fletcher, no go, they only do THEIR keys (6 digit key numbers, mines only got 5 digits, also a Fiamma key has 6 cuts)

We have a Timpson at our local Tesco, so I phoned the guy up and he said take the key there, he'll photograph it and send the pictures to head office (?). I took the key there and he said OH THEM KEYS, I'll have to send it away (LOL), he said that he couldn't do it today because of Easter, so I'll take it in on Tuesday, he said it'll only take a couple of days?

many thanks for the replies

Those tubular type locks can be opened with an empty felt tip pen... They have been down graded to the lowest category security device for locks..
You are far better off changing it for a different type..
Sorry to be a bit negative but better you know and think I am being a dick, than I say nowt and you rely on it for a security that is low to say the least

As @Jaws says there was a time when a lot of motorcyclists had additional security locks with this type of key and it was found a cheap biro could be used to open them

A felt tip was preferred cos the casing 'gives' a bit :-)

That's a bummer. There's me thanking the previous owner for installing a nice secure lock.
