Fancy something different with lots to see with a follow on Fun Meet on the coast? We haven't managed to negotiate an official meet at this Show https://dorsetcountyshow.co.uk/info/ this time but we've booked to camp there & hope that some of you will come along too. It's well rated, fairly priced & located within walking distance of Dorchester (free shuttle bus too on some days) plus the dates work with a follow on Fun Meet at the scenic, well appointed, coastal Highlands End Campsite https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/foru...r-2025-booking-now-with-discount-code.318988/ just down the road (y) Book just camping on the showground with basic facilities & showers from £55 for 3 nights, visit the Show on one day for an extra £18 per person or book the whole weekend camping pass which includes tickets for 2 people on both days of the Show for £125. Prices do go up nearer to the event & camping is limited so can sell out. Although it says "Pitches are for tents and caravans" motorhomes are definitely welcomed too & this option can be chosen at checkout!
This might also suit those coming down South for a September tour - perhaps on the way to our Polmanter Touring Park Meet in scenic St Ives https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/foru...er-2025-booking-opens-midday-tomorrow.319039/ :giggle:

Some extra info that may be helpful for anyone considering this:
Dog friendly - well behaved dogs on non-extendable leads are welcome at the Show but will not be permitted within Food Halls nor Animal Areas.
Traffic - like all big events there can be a lot of traffic on the Show days especially around arrival & departure times - another reason to arrive before all this on the Friday & camp in the Showground so just a stroll away on the Show days. It's also possible to pop in & out of the Show but don't forget to get a stamp on the exit to allow re-entry.
Walks - the walk between the Showground & the town of Dorchester is via Blue Bridge & Greys Bridge footpaths.
