Hi I have the following BBQ gas point and the pipe fitting in the pictures, no problem putting the fitting into the gas point with no hose on it, but as soon as I put the hose on to the fitting there is no way to get the fitting into the hole as there just isn't enough room. Does anyone know if there is a 90 degree fitting that I could use or any other ideas I can try.

Im sure there is an angled connector piece

The fitting I had was much shorter than that, pretty sure it was more secure too.! Either buy a shorter one or cut that one down?

Edit: Thinking about it, that part you show doesn't look right at all, just purchase the correct part, don't modify that one.

Same here. The OP’s fitting is just too long.

Does look odd. Have you asked your Hymer dealer about this? They may have a fix, or recognise an incorrect fitting.

Regards,

Go like this apparently

What a strange way to fit a connection?
The one on my Murvi, points straight out of the flap, just like the EHU connection, and one pushes the BBQ connection straight on? 👍

Same as on my Bailey, straight out making it very easy.

The fitting was supplied by the Hymer dealer.

I think I have found the answer though. The 90 degree Cadac fitting fits into the BBQ point on the MH, the only problem is this is a left hand thread and the hose connector is a right hand thread. I have ordered an adaptor from eBay so hopefully this should be the problem solved.
