Hi everyone
I was just reading another post about MH prices falling. This has made me wonder about the current position of the MH market . A quick question , who many of you guys are going with the intension of buying a new MH .
I wonder is the new market really that slow ?

We are not going. I quite like looking at other vans but other half doesn’t. It does tend to be a bit too crowded as well. We would be using mobility scooters. And we don’t really NEED any accessories!

Yes it can be very crowded. We are going just to look at specific things.

We are going on Wednesday just to browse. Must remember to leave the wallet at home.

Going Tuesday to look for one or two specific items and hopefully not spend too much money

Too many brand new shiny things with protective covers & labels on to get me to open the wallet, they have succeeded twice in the past but no more!
After a few busy show meets, in all weathers, queuing for car park busses, and over priced refreshments, I have since discovered that a visit to the manufacturers of interest dealership is a much more focussed and enjoyable experience, whether its for new or S/H vans.
I also agree with many that you can see the cost savings, plus the use of much lighter less durable cabinetry in many manufacturer's vans to meet the 3500Kg maximum load category, thesedays.
This may change if the rumour afoot is that everyone will be able to drive vans up to 4,200Kgs with a normal driving licence, no C1 requirement in the future, will have to wait and see on that one, its only rumoured o don't quote me please.
If you are going to the show, its flasks and sandwiches, and dont expect to see all in one afternoon, enjoy yourselves.

I was intending going but forgot the dates and have booked Chatsworth for Thursday/Friday. Not too keen on going on the Saturday but just wondering....Can you camp over night in the car park?

No, camping/overnighting is strictly forbidden in the car parks at the NEC. There is a specific 'pop up site' for this show, but that is always fully booked months ahead of the show.

Popping in on Thursday, via a hotel on Wednesday night as camping was booked up. Just for a mooch as we are on annual leave. No purchases intended.

Going Sunday if we can get the moho into the car park. Returning from a couple of nights away near Mansfield. Only going to laugh at prices and tut at a few new vans.
