If you have a Navpal GPS or one of the many similar ones on sale, do you know what this red 50 limit sign with the squiggly lines in a box means. It comes up at any speed obscuring the actual speed limit and often causing the “You are above the speed limit”, warning. We are travelling in France & Spain at the moment and it is very annoying. I don’t remember seeing it in the UK.

If you have personalised your sat nav with size and weight, it may be you are over the speed limit for your weight. 😗

Mine does the same in France. No idea? assume it is to do with weights put in as oversize? But then I am not oversize though?
I just ignore it.

Perhaps the map has kph measurements but your unit is trying to work in knots (or mph). Conflicting information so it throws up an I’m confused message. Check your settings haven’t defaulted back to UK ones.

OldAgeTravellers you don't have to go the other side of the Channel to get that problem. My satnav which is part of the car insists that parts of our estate are 20mph zones warning us that we are speeding and we are in your home town!

Sorry about the Typo in the title but it certainly brought out the idiots comedians x:-) It must be the silly season. I tried to edit it but by the time I stopped driving to read the comments the edit time limit was up, perhaps Jim can edit to NAVPAL for me. But it would spoil their fun a bit.

I thought it was something to do with vehicle size but it still comes up on a motorway with a 130 kph limit. It is always 50kph. I may try setting up a new profile without a size to see what it does then.
Happy New Year to all.
