Personally I’d find a replacement filter system Nature Pure / General Ecology are not to be trusted to deliver effective Bacteria filtration.

It’s a long story but essentially they were supplying a filter that promised bacterial filtration which it did not. They admitted fault and blamed the UK agent. Since then, they have a new cartridge which we are assured does filter bacteria. Except it’s much lighter than the original and they haven't explained why. Given the recent history it’s easy to wonder if it’s truth. Couple all that with the rediculous price of replacement filters and it means they’ve lost me as a customer

No, it needs a completely different head unit.

No. But the head units for the 3M cartridges only cost about £15 from memory

thats what i use and have been happy with them.
didnt originally buy from that supplier but they are a good price .
bought it years ago for when i did a big african tour .
changed the filter several times since .
