Nature Pure water filter old model

I have just bought a replacement filter for my Nature Pure filter that we have had for 12 Years,all has been well on previous filter changes but this time when I pulled the long cord that holds the top of the housing on it broke off and only about 2 inches came out leaving the other 8 inches or so still in so the housing won't open ,so now I cant fit a new filter
I was wondering if anyone had one of these housings they no longer use that they would consider selling, this is a photo I found on another site of of the type I need

Where did you get the filter? I gave up looking years ago when I changed mine last. Sorry can't help on the casing
