The Thetford absortion N112 is unreliable in my 2008 E460 Bessacarr and needs replacement, can any of you motorhomers know where I can purchase a new one with a curved door same as the one fitted. My enquires so far I’ve been told that it is now a N4112 type I need as it has been superseded.

Have identical motorhome - just replaced mine with N4112 from Jackson Leisure - fits perfectly- choose the “framed” door option (unfortunately only comes in black) so you can replace the laminate on door from old fridge (just slides out) to match up your existing decor - also hang on to your old door shelves and salad bin if they’re in good condition as spares as they fit in new one

Thank you for posting this information to me, I’ve just passed it to the chap who will be changing the fridge for me. As you have the same motorhome it would be nice if I could keep in touch with you, as a few E460 problems have passed my way.

I bought the 692082 E+ framed option so I could swap the laminate on the door. I was going to go for the other framed option 692076 but it was out of stock and I couldn’t wait - main difference as far as I could tell was LED or LCD display. Be glad to stay in touch and swap notes 👍

Hi, the email I received from Sheila Rigby states that the framed fridges have larger spec than that of your existing fridge,(to account for the frame) can you tell me if this presents a problem to me? My E460 is a 2008 model.

I have exactly same model and year Bessacarr and the fridge fits perfectly- the “frame” refers to the door surround which enables swapping of the laminate hope that helps

I have now ordered the 692082E+framed option. Is there anything I should know about on changing the door laminate? Also you mentioned a cartridge unit for the shower tap, I’m unaware of that fitting can you tell me more. regards.

Changing the laminate is pretty straightforward frame unclips at the bottom corners and laminate just slides out then reverse process on the new door - your fitter should be able to do it for you. I also had to have the door hung on the right - again fairly straightforward and your fitter should do it for you.

The mixer Taps have ceramic cartridges which can fail and cause leaks usually result of limescale buildup there are lots of YouTube videos showing how to replace them like this one which involves disassembling the tap to remove old ceramic cartridge - they aren’t too expensive and widely available

I have just moved to BN16 2QA and wondered if you are local to me?

I’m about an hour from you

Im in Walton on Thames just over an hour from you
What a coincidence, we moved from W-o-T (KT12 3EU) down to Rustington. We lived in the same house for 39 years and I never saw your motorhome once otherwise I would have made myself known to you.IMG_0011.jpeg

Have you fitted a battery master to your motorhome, I would like to have both batteries on charge at the same time, can this be done on our motorhome?

Can I ask you for some information on the pax seat removal, there are 3 allen key bolts each side in the seat rail do I just need to remove those? When you look at the rear view of the seat fixing there is a cable that runs across what is this for and does it need removing, and what is the black box fitted beneath the seat. Hope you can help.

Yes to Allen key bolts. The cable is for the seat belt sensor and should unclip. The box under seat is your jack and wheel change tools - it slides out the front of the seat after pulling off the cover.

When I bought my van I wanted to be able to be able to spend as much time off grid as possible so upgraded to Lithium batteries and have solar panel with Victron MPPT controller and inverter- hardly ever need to use EHU as long sun shines!

Hi nomad, well my fridge is now replaced and he fitted the door laminate from the old fridge but sadly he hasn’t changed the door to hang on the right, is this something I need to live with or is there a procedure to change it over whilst the fridge in situ.?

It can definitely be done probably easier before installation but you should still b able to do it. My fitter did it for me as part of installation it didn’t take him long to do but I wasn’t paying alot of attention so can’t talk you through it

Did the person who fitted the fridge leave the installation manual with you, if so , the details to change the door opening should be in it..

The book is not very informative, I will phone Jackson’s next week they should be able to help me.
Yes I looked at the user and installation manual the section on changing the hang of the door refers to different model - best bet is to go back to your fitter

Hi nomad, how is your thetFord fridge doing? I’ve problems with mine, works ok on EHU, but fails on gas with fault lights 2/4/5 on. I spent 4 nights away on gas only and had to reset it 12 times in that period. Jackson have now passed me on an engineer.

I’ve been mostly running on gas apart from few days on EHU
