I was having our 165 vehicle battery change and the guy who was doing it drew my attention to a black wire which did not seem to have been attached to anything.
Any ideas?
Mike

I'll sleep on it, let you know in the morning. Remember you lose an hour.

Not sure if the wire was going or coming from the battery but the chances are it was for something no longer fitted to the MH. If everything works I suggest you just remove the stray wire to tidy things up.

OMG ... you've got an infestation of the infamous 'black wire worm'!!! :D

It's a connection to the ejector seat on the passengers side, don't get rid of it as you never know when it will come in handy. :sneaky::LOL:

I thought it was for the rocket launchers :)

It probably comes from the wireless

It's the optional wire for the cranium enhancer.

Leave it off and use the MH as you would do. If something has stopped working then you know what it is for. Check things like trackers or alarms that use black wires so that scum bags don't know which wires to cut to steal your unit.

Just be careful it doesn't go rusty and come out of your taps ....

:whistle2:

Does it have a terminal fitted or is it just a bit of wire
The former would indicate a possible earth that has been left off at a previous battery change and should be investigated and re
fitted, as the item it belongs to may be seeking out an alternative earth to the detriment of something else. if the latter I would ignore it and tape it up
