Murcia today - Motorhomes in flood..

Wow that must be heart wrenching😔😔😔I would be heartbroken😭
on a lighter note it’s sunny here in Yorkshire all week, and it’s about time after all the crap we’ve had last few months, must be something to do with the Jetstream👍

The high pressure system over the UK which is giving us lovely settled weather is pushing the Atlantic fronts further south. For every winner there's got to be a loser. Stay safe folks (y)

My mum used to always say there were benefits to living in cold damp Scotland.

Very little flooding compared to other places , no earthquakes, tornados, hurricanes, tsunamis, famines, droughts, etc etc

The weather's been crazy. Big storms in Turkey and Greece this winter too and lots of rains and floods in Spain. I've gotta head up that way over the next week or two ...Will have to pay attention to weather forecasts I think

Not good, but for most in the OP's video it looks as though the water has not got up to hab floor level, at least at that time.
But a lot have wooden floors etc and the fiat's air intakes are quite low too . Still be some damage to most of them . Unless that was a flash flood though I honestly can't understand why folk didn't move .

I've had 2 nights of very heavy rain in the last week ....I kept checking outside for big puddles etc . I'd never have waited till water got to that level.

Ooft

That looks grim , I'd be devastated.

One has to ask though ....did they not think to move when it didn't stop raining .
Actually Tam in my experience not many people can assess a situation and act...they need to be told..I'm like you...I would be checking frequently..
We have moved the MH during heavy rain or wind...
We used to live near this place, so know it a little...but what needs to be taken into account is not what's around you, but above you...further up the valleys..that's how the Valencia catastrophe happened.
We fly back to base tonight...our apartment is third floor and our vehicles secure...I think..🇪🇦🤨

until they release the MIDGES
Aye but that's only in the Highlands and mostly on the west where the Heather is. There are no midges around the central belt where I lived. Biggest flood would be a puddle 6/8 inches deep lol

I learned in Greece a few years ago how quickly the area around you can change when it rains and have since became very vigilant .

Now if its been raining a lot I'm constantly checking outside for puddles developing etc and once it's up to the wheel rim I'm moving....there's no way I'd hang around till it was touching the chassis etc.

We think we have found a little pocket of warmth and less rainfall (according to ventusky) between Jaen and Ubeda.
Time will tell if we are right or not !

We had a caravan written off in a flood in the Lake District. A stream became blocked and the water diverted across the fields. We couldn’t move the caravan in time because it was attached to an awning, but we did get the camper off the area and alerted the occupants of the four other caravans to get their tow vehicles off. We've seen first hand how quickly flooding can happen and are very careful now.
