I have a just over 10 year old Hymer A-class on a Fiat.

Recently the multi display at the centre of the dash has been working only the when the headlights are on and not when the daylights are on. Consequently, I am not getting any information in the daylight such as gear, time, use unless the sun catches the display.

Why has this happened and how I can fix it. Please.

There is usually a dimmer somewhere, have you accidentally knocked it or something.

We noticed this in our VW Tiguan when driving through eg short stretches of road in significantly reduced light from tree overhang.
There's a suggestion it's to prompt you to switch to full headlights as running lights don't display rear lights. Not sure about this as our lights are normally set to Auto, and it didn't always do it.
I gave up looking for a fix as it only happens for very short periods but unnerving. Sorry don't have a fix but just to say you're not alone.

Smashing answer, Chaser. I pressed the two buttons at the same time on the dimmer view. The multi display lit up like Blackpool Illuminations.
