Are you going to tell us what you are talking about or have I got to spend the night in suspense?

100 tons + a feather?

What's the max weight that an MP3 can carry as passengers?
They re pretty heavy in themselves. Although this doesnt answer your question, here are some specs, including 244kgs otr, which is probably winch required.

Are you attracted to the additional safety or are you trying to carry a pillion without a full m/c licence? You re allowed to ride them on a provisional the insurance will be very hefty

Just to correct this, you are allowed to ride them on a car licence and carry a passenger.

As Mr Clarkson says….. power…..👍

Doesn't that depend on the track width of the front wheels so they are not all compliant?

It does, afaik MP3's do comply, but the insurance for car licence holders is steep. Dont think its a problem for full motorcycle licence holders.

I’ve got a Yamaha Tricity 300. I don’t have a bike licence. It will accommodate 170kg of riders. It weighs 240kg and the insurance is expensive for non bike licence holders. £650 third party and £900 fully comprehensive, but so restrictive, you may as well save the £250 quid.

It rides very nicely, it’s a big ol lump but you can filter as with any other bike and I do indeed winch it into the MoHo garage.

Quote from MCN Jon.

"Because the front wheels are far enough apart the MP3 qualifies as a trike and so it can be driven on a car licence in the UK. You used to have to buy a model with the ‘LT’ suffix for this to be the case, but these days all the MP3s qualify".

Interesting. Where do you store the ramp? Are you fancying one funflair?

By way of comparison my 300cc aprilia Sport City, weighs about 100kgs less and cost about £50/year to insure comp albeit 9 years older. Have you asked the what the premium would go to if you had a bike licence?

The ramp is in the garage, you can just see it onone of the pics...

TBH, I haven't asked for the insurance difference with a full licence....

I tried the tricity 125 before I got the Honda, I didn’t know which side to take the front wheels around potholes so I ended up straddling them and then banging the back wheel in.
